In collaboration and coordination with the Ministry of Education, the UAE Pakistan Assistance Programme (UAE PAP) on Saturday unveiled an initiative to distribute 2,000 copies of a documentary film.

The film, called ‘Spirit of Solidarity', is intended for students at public and private schools countrywide to familiarise them with the humanitarian and relief efforts that were carried out by the UAE to give aid to Pakistan, in line with the directives of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

A statement released by the management of the UAE Pakistan Assistance Programme said the instructions given by Sheikh Khalifa and his initiatives to support the affected areas in Pakistan that incurred damages due to natural disasters such as floods, had been translated into launching several humanitarian efforts and successful developmental projects in Pakistan like making roads, erecting bridges, health, supplying water, distribution of food items and vaccination campaigns for kids as well as handing out school bags to needy children.

The initiative to give out 2,000 copies of the documentary is designed to educate about the humanitarian and developmental efforts and encourage the spirit of giving and solidarity in the minds of Emirati students and also to reinforce the principles and values of charitable and humanitarian works in them.

‘Spirit of Solidarity' has been prepared by the UAE PAP in conjunction with the National Media Council (NMC) and the Abu Dhabi Media Incorporation.

The film features the story of the UAE PAP and features positive stories about citizens living in affected areas and how these efforts helped alleviate their sufferings. – Khaleej Times
