New York's Lincoln Centre for Performing Arts has announced a partnership with the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). The special DIFF Focus on Arab cinema will be showcased at the Centre on August 24-30, 2012.

The line-up will include 10 feature films and a short film programme, as well as Q&A sessions with the directors and panel discussions organised by the Independent Filmmaker Project and New York Women in Films.

Among the films selected are Habibi Rasak Kharban directed by Susan Youssef and supported by Enjaaz, DIFF's post-production fund, and Emirati director Ali Mostafa's City of Life, which opened the third Gulf Film Festival. – Gulf News
