The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched new 13 online consular services to the convenience of UAE nationals abroad as part of its strategy 2011-2013.

Isa Al Kalbani, Director of Ministry's Citizens' Affairs, stated that all services of his department are now available online. He explained that an applicant can fill application forms on the selected service online and then visit the consulate once in the host country to collect documents of transactions, whether be renewal of passport, wedding No Objection Certificate, emergency accidents, or death report among others.

Dr. Saeed Al Dhaheri, Advisor to Foreign Minister for IT, said the new e-services had raised to more than 60% the rate of e-transformation of the ministry's 79 services. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
