GCC Interior Ministers affirm rejection of terrorism

Interior Ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council affirmed yesterday the GCC's total rejection of all forms and manifestations of terrorism and renewed their call to develop all international and regional efforts to combat terrorism.



At the conclusion of their 7th consultative meeting in Abu Dhabi which was chaired by UAE interior Minister General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, GCC interior ministers expressed concern over the situation in Iraq and called for the awareness and solidarity of all Iraqi sides to safeguard the security and integrity of their country.



Regarding the Palestinian issue, GCC Interior Ministers called all Palestinian sides to unite in order to make possible the creation of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The agenda of the 7th consultative meeting took in Security cooperation and coordination, combating terror and the latest regional and international developments. Also on the agenda was the establishment of a mechanism to exchange information on the activities of terrorist groups or any other suspicious elements. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
