GCC Ministerial Council condemns attempts to undermine stability in Bahrain

Jeddah - The GCC Ministerial Council has condemned the attempts to undermine security and stability in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This came during 116th session of the council which was participated by foreign ministers of the member countries last night in Jeddah.

The UAE delegation was led by Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah, in his opening remarks during the joint meeting of Ministerial Council and the representatives of the Advisory Board of the Supreme Council of GCC condemned a stray planning to attack security and stability of Kingdom of Bahrain.

He also congratulated the leadership, government and people of Bahrain in particular and GCC in general for uncovering this criminal planning.

Sheikh Mohammed, who chaired the meeting, said that a number of issues related to GCC countries will be discussed.

On his part, the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Abdul Rahman Al Attiyah praised the positive role played by the Advisory Board for several years in the implementation of studies and consultations and also confirmed that it occupied a privileged position to improve the joint work within the framework of the Council.
