GCC foreign ministers conclude meeting with Yemeni government delegation

The GCC Foreign Ministers concluded this evening their extraordinary meeting with the Yemeni government delegation. The meeting was chaired by UAE Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in presence of the GCC Secretary General Dr Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani. The Yemeni delegation is headed by 2nd Deputy Chairman of the Yemeni General People's Congress (GPC) Dr Abdul Karim Al Aryani.

The GCC foreign ministers thanked the Yemeni government delegation members for responding to the GCC efforts aimed at resolving the crisis in Yemen.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the GCC initiative. They emphasised the need to make more efforts to ensure security and stability of Yemen. The GCC ministers were briefed by Dr Al Aryani on the developments in Yemen and the GPC's views and plans for a reconciliatory solution to the crisis. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
