Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair said yesterday that the four proposals UAE presented to the second meeting of Speakers of GCC Shoura councils, houses of representatives and parliaments have been accepted by the delegations of all other member states.

Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al Ghurair said that the four proposals focussed on streamlining the annual meeting of GCC heads of Shoura Councils and parliaments and coordinating among them on important issues while attending regional and international parliamentary meetings.

A meeting has approved to set up a committee to draft a convention on this and FNC members and officials will represent UAE in this committee, Al Ghurair added.
