Global Village melting pot of fun and entertainment
posted on 29/12/2009

Top rate performers from Russia, the US and China continue to thrill visitors to Global Village in Dubai and the event is a must see destination for many especially tourists to the UAE.
These major entertainments coupled with a glimpse of the culture, tradition and life of people from 45 countries
are showcased at Global Village in Dubailand.
Over 600,000 visitors have so far visited the 14th edition of Global Village (November 22-February 27) in two weeks of entertainment.
The celebrations marking Eid Al Adha and the 38th UAE National Day prompted families and visitors to flock to Global Village in addition to a calendar of events that saw international performances as the Human Cannonball, Art of Fire, Chinese Flying Pole and Bounce were some of the listed shows available.
Some 30 to 35 cultural shows are performed daily in different pavilions bringing to a total of 6,000 shows during this year's edition.
For the first time, Global Village has gathered together families, divorcees and single mothers, who are engaged in home-based businesses, to join this year's edition.
Housed in Bidayathi or The Start, they sell home-based wares ranging from abaya, traditional perfumes and sweets, hand-made accessories, cosmetics, preserved foods and many others.
A total of 31 pavilions hosting over 45 cultures and authentic and indigenous products from across the regions are really a testimony to behold that Global Village has succeeded in making itself a unique city in itself where the world come together to sell their wares and display their cultural heritage. – Khaleej Times
