Hamdan bin Zayed opens ADIHEX 2012

Surpassing all expectations about turnout of participants, visitors and journalists, the 10TH edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2012) was opened on Wednesday by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region (Al Gharbia) and the Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club.

Present were H.H. Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Major General Sheikh Talib bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Commander General of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Abdullah Al Masoud, Speaker of the National Consultative Council, Mohamed Ahmed Al Bowardi, member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikhs, senior officials and diplomats.

Sheikh Hamdan toured the exhibitions different sections and stands and was briefed on the latest products in the fields of equestrian and traditional sports.

Sheikh Hamdan launched a new production line for shot shell ammunition, created by Tawazun Holding's small munitions manufacturer subsidiary, Caracal Light Ammunition (CLA). The new product will be the first of its kind manufactured in GCC region and will cater to the sport shooting market.

At the end of his tour, Sheikh Hamdan praised the great support given to heritage and traditional sports by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Gen. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
