Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Minister of Finance and Industry, approved yesterday the final design of the Dh292 million federal ministries complex in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Hamdan appreciated the design, which reflects the Arabic and Islamic architecture, and suits the local environment. The complex will have 16 federal ministries, in addition to a conference centre, a theatre, an exhibition hall, and a training centre. It will be constructed over 1,000 square metres in the Al Buteen area. Work will start soon following the approval of the final design by Sheikh Hamdan, and it is expected to complete within two years. (The Gulf News)
