Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of Emirates Red Authority, has disclosed that H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Chairman of Emirates Red Authority, adopted a Palestinian child, Suhaib Raid, who lost family members except his mother during the current conflict in Gaza Strip.

Suhaib and his mother were the only family members who survived the airstrike on their home in Gaza. His mother has suffered multiple injuries, and is still in coma.

While in Gaza, Al Falahi toured the hospitals and medical centres. He also opened the Emirates Red Crescent field hospital, which includes 50 beds, two operation theatres, intensive care unit, two ambulance vehicles, and 51 doctors and nurses.

Dr. Khalil Abulfoul, Director-General of Jerusalem Hospital praised the initiative of Sheikh Hamdan. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/arab/1395268138043.html
