Hamdan bin Zayed receives Emirates Mobile Hospital team

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) highlighted UAE's keenness to extend help and assistance to the needy people in various parts of the world through innovative programs developed to ensure access to those people and to provide humanitarian and medical services according to the latest international standards.

This came during Sheikh Hamdan's meeting yesterday evening with the team of Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital in the presence of Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali, Minister of Health, Khadim Al Dari, Chairman of the Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital Working Committee and the hospital's team members.

Sheikh Hamdan also referred to the Giving campaign launched in last May explaining that the aim of the campaign is to help and assist one million children who suffer from various diseases in different parts of the world.

He also highlighted that Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital which received federal and local support came to complete UAE's achievements in the humanitarian and charitable fields.

Sheikh Hamdan expressed his thanks to the hospital's team for their efforts in assisting the needy patients and called for UAE medical cadres to join the hospital's team to participate actively in alleviating the suffering of patients in need.

For his part, Dr. Hanif Hassan said that Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital is considered as a model for community-based partnership between various governmental and private sectors and that the ministry will strive hard to support the mobile hospital programs.

Emirati Heart Surgeon, Dr. Adel Al Shamri, CEO of Zayed Giving Initiative and Executive Director of the Mobile Hospital highlighted that through the National Mobile Hospital for Medical Care (Enaya) many treatment, curative and training programs have been implemented to help about 4 thousand people in Abu Dhabi and Fujairah. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
