Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, on Monday inaugurated the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai 2009), at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition centre.
Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by a number of ministers and local and international representatives during the opening ceremony along with heads of delegations and Dr Burton Conrod, president of World Dental Federation (FDI).
Sheikh Hamdan had a tour in the exhibition area, and explored the latest medical devices, technologies and equipment displayed by over 700 specialised companies from 65 countries. Some of these latest technologies are displayed for the first time during AEEDC Dubai, especially after it has successfully been ranked fifth worldwide in dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, according to the International Dental Manufacturers.
Sheikh Hamdan was impressed by the annual growth that AEEDC Dubai achieves every year, and was delighted by the number of companies as well as the number of dentists participating. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
