Hamdan meets IRCS and ICRC delegation

Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS, yesterday affirmed the need to provide urgent supplies to the Iraqi people. During a meeting with delegations that attended the sub-regional meeting of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Sheikh Hamdan said that the efforts of the UAE's RCS had contributed to easing the suffering of the Iraqi people.



He also noted that the instructions of H.H. President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to speed up providing relief supplies for the Iraqi people. Sheikh Hamdan lauded the ongoing fund-raising campaign by the RCS in support of Iraq. Sheikh Hamdan also lauded the great work carried out by the ICRC and the IRCS and other international organisations for the assistance of the people of Iraq. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
