Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as Chairman of Al Ahli Club, has ordered the establishment of a commercial investment company in the football field.
Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Chairman of Al Ahli Club Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has given instruction to execute the order and to adopt the world's highest standards and best models to achieve the goal aspired.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Board Khalifa Saeed Suleiman said the decision reflects Sheikh Hamadan's interest in finding new sources of revenue after investment in sports, and football in particular, has become a world industry with economic feasibility to support football activities and programmes.
Suleiman said the board will convene today to study mechanisms for the execution of Sheikh Hamdan's order within the strategic plan adopted by Al Ahli to become the first sports club in the region to achieve a shift in self-finance. – Emirates Business
