H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, crowned yesterday Spain's Barcelona as champion of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2009 after defeating Argentina's Estudiantes in the final match 2-1 at the Zayed Sports City stadium.
The crowning was attended by HE Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, Speaker of Federal National Council, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, HE Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, a number of ministers and seniors official and FIFA President Joseph Platter. The winning team walked away with a cash prize of US$ 5 million. The finale was attended by around 50,000 fans. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
