Sharjah is gearing up for a truly memorable celebration of the UAE 42nd National Day with a host of festive activities planned to take place around the Emirate's cultural nexus - the Heart of Sharjah.

The celebrations commencing from Dec 2, will include a parade on National Day, that will start on the Sharjah Corniche (Opposite to Sharjah Islamic Civilization Museum) and ultimately make its way to an activities area which will be jam packed with a range of traditional festive pastimes.

Speaking about the upcoming festivities, Yousif Al Mutawa, Heart of Sharjah Manager, said, "National Day is about celebrating the UAE's rich heritage and history, as well as the amazing achievements it has accomplished to date and its many successes still to come, which is why this day is particularly important to us at the Heart of Sharjah. Because, at its core, this is what the Heart of Sharjah is all about. Our aim is to be a link between Sharjah's present and its past, a place where heritage and progress meet and work together in synergy and there is no better occasion to fulfil this vision than on UAE's National Day." . – Emirates News Agency, WAM – Read more:
