Muscat - Omani media has shown high concern over the visit of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Oman which began today. All Omani Arabic and English newspapers focused yesterday on the three-day visit which aims at boosting the bilateral relations between the two countries.

"The leaders of the two countries displayed strong will to take bilateral relations to new heights. His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and the former president of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, laid the solid foundation on which the relations between their countries continued to thrive. Over a period of time, the bilateral relations expanded to multiple areas as they kept growing steadily." said Oman Tribune.

Times of Oman wrote "The visit comes within the context of continued meetings between the leaders of the two brotherly countries and for further strengthening cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the UAE, in the interest of their peoples. The leaders will also exchange views on the regional and international developments." Other Omani newspapers, Al Watan, Al Shabeeba, Oman and Times of Oman wrote in their editorials and main pages about the significance of the visit and how it is going to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two sisterly neighbours.

Al Watan main editorial which came under the title "Step towards Interconnection" focused on the history of the bilateral relations and their uniqueness and why they are considered a model for all relations between two countries. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
