Hundreds of Saluki owners from the UAE and other GCC countries are expected to showcase their highly prized breeds in the Second Arabian Saluki Beauty Contest being held from October 24 to 27. "The show gives us the opportunity to highlight not only the incredible characteristics of the breed itself, but to create public awareness of our proud cultural heritage, especially for the younger generations," said Hamad Al Ganem, Breeder, Registrar General and Director of the Arabian Saluki Centre.

The show will take place in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) during this year's Abu Dhabi 2007 International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition. All Saluki owners based in the UAE and other GCC countries are requested to register their Arabian Saluki with the Arabian Saluki Centre prior to the exhibition. Deadline for registration will be October 10. (Gulf News)
