Rabat (WAM) The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO) condemned today the random arrests, intimidation, inhuman treatment and violation of civil rights directed against Arab Muslim students in the United States, Britain and some western countries, under the pretext of fighting terrorism. ' ISESCO condemns in the strongest terms these inhuman and unjust practices that violate the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, international conventions, agreements and declarations,' an ISESCO statement said. The body urged international human rights organisations and other concerned agencies to condemn those practices, which its described as contrary to international law and to the spirit of human justice. It also called on them to take urgent action to visit and inquire about the conditions of the Arab Muslim students imprisoned in these countries, and to seek to set them free and to ensure the full exercise of their rights to pursue their studies under the respect of the law.
