KF team implements 2nd phase of aid to people affected by cold wave in Tunisia

The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (KF), yesterday implemented the 2nd phase of its winter aid to the victims of cold wave that hit Tunisia recently.

KF team, in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Tunisia and the Tunisian Union of Social Solidarity, has continued its field tour in Siliana, Northwest of Tunis, which is the second governorate among 12 affected by the cold wave.

KF official source said that the foundation's team distributed parcels to hundreds of Tunisian families in the governorate where around 5,000 families will benefit from the aid out of 37, 000 families covered by the assistance.

The source added that parcels which were delivered to the underprivileged and affected families included food, winter clothing, blankets, heaters and fuel oil.

Tunisian officials and beneficiaries welcomed the KF team and hailed initiative of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide assistance to needy Tunisian families. – Emirates News Agency, WAM -
