The Republic of Kazakhstan has exempted U.A.E. nationals from the pre-entry visa requirement with effect from mid July 2014, U.A.E. official has said.

Ahmed Saeed Elham Al Dhahiri, Director of the Consular Services at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said the decision comes as a culmination of distinguished bilateral relations at all levels between the leaders of the U.A.E. and Kazakhstan.

The exemption decision will come into effect from 10th July, while the visit duration for U.A.E. citizens will be 15 days for each visit.

Al Dhahiri welcomed the positive step taken by Kazakhstan, noting that it would further strengthen the growing ties between the two friendly countries, encourage movement and tourism, as well as open more new economic, trade and investment horizons for businesspersons in both countries.

For his part, Kazakh Ambassador to U.A.E. Khairat Lama Sharif said the exemption of the U.A.E. citizens from the pre-entry visa requirement into Kazakhstan aims to reinforce the bilateral relations, and create conducive atmosphere for businesspersons and foreign tourists.

He added that President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced the exemption of citizens of 10 advanced states from the pre-entry visa requirement, adding that they include countries, which have demonstrated the high-level investment activities in Kazakhstan such as U.S., Britain, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, U.A.E., Malaysia, South Korea and Japan.

The Kazakh envoy noted that with effect from 15th July, the U.A.E. citizens could travel to Kazakhstan without the pre-entry visa condition to visit its historic, tourist and natural landmarks, as well as get introduced to the Kazakh culture and establish trade ties. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
