BEIRUT: A team from the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Work continued to work with the UAE Embassy in Beirut for the seventh day to distribute winter aid packages to refugees and those affected by the blizzard that hit the Levant and Iraq.

An official source from the Foundation said that the winter aid campaign in Lebanon aims to reach 20,000 Syrian refugees and Lebanese families affected by the snowstorm, as per the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The source also told the Emirates News Agency (WAM), that the Khalifa Foundation yesterday distributed winter aid packages comprising food, winter clothing, shoes, blankets and heaters to people living in the villages north of the Bekaa region, including Baalbek, Fakiha and Al Jadida. - Emirates News Agency, WAM -
