Beirut: In implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide assistance to displaced Syrians in Lebanon, the delegation of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation in Lebanon has implemented a large relief operation that includes all registered and non-registered displaced Syrians in all Lebanese regions, targeted at around 135 thousand families.

Around 80,000 families of displaced Syrians and Palestinian refugees have benefited from the programme.

For their part, the beneficiaries hailed the efforts of the United Arab Emirates and of the Khalifa Foundation and their support to the Syrian people in their distress.

They also praised the donations made by the Khalifa Foundation, chaired by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, as it had provided food aid to thousands of Palestinian refugees displaced from Syria to Lebanon. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
