The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation (KF) will provide about 1,700,000 Iftar meals for people who are fasting inside the country and a further 5000 outside. The gesture comes in partnership with 6000 Emirati families in the country, international organisations and civil society institutions outside the country.

The assistance comes within the Iftar Project, implemented by KF for the 7th year in a row.

In a statement on the occasion, Mohammed Haji Al Khouri, Director-General of the Foundation, said that Emirati Families' Preparation for Iftar meals is the first of its kind in the region.

He emphasised that Foundation projects during Ramadan embody the solid values in both religion and the UAE Society, which represent the value of giving, pointing out the increase in the philanthropic foundation's activities to cover about 54 countries around the world to be implemented during the Holy Month of Ramadan. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
