Khalifa Foundation provides aid in earthquake-hit Afghanistan

A team from the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Kabul, has distributed urgent humanitarian aid supplies to the victims of the latest earthquake to hit Afghanistan.

The humanitarian response is in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

An official spokesperson at the Khalifa Foundation said that over a 4-day period, relief assistance was distributed to over 4,000 affected families in the northern Takhar Province of the country. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/international-aid/1395288023496.html
