Khalifa chairs Supreme Petroleum Council meeting

President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, chaired yesterday a meeting of the Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC) at the Al-Bateen Palace in the presence of General HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The SPC reviewed the current developments in the oil market, and discussed a number of projects being carried out by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and its subsidiaries in Abu Dhabi. The SPC expressed satisfaction over the progress of work in those projects.

The meeting also reviewed a number of other topics on the agenda and took appropriate decisions on them with a view for strengthening the oil industry in the country and fortifying its position on the global level, as well as further developing the industry.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chamberlain of the Crown Prince's Court and Chairman of ZoneCorp HH Sheikh Hamid Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Department of Finance HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan and members of the Supreme Petroleum Council. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
