Khalifa condoles Mubarak on ferry victims

President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a cable of condolences to Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak for the victims of Egyptian ferry Al Salam 98 which sank yesterday on the Red Sea. Most of the 1415 passengers were reported dead.



Expressing sympathy for the loss of lives in the tragic accident, Sheikh Khalifa prayed the Almighty to grant the victims mercy and rest their souls in peace. He also asked God to grant their families the patience and fortitude to bear their lost and guard Egypt and its people from harm. Similar heart-felt condolences were also expressed by General H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
