Khalifa holds talks with Musharraf

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Pervez Musharraf, President of Pakistan, yesterday held talks on enhancement of bilateral relations between the UAE and Pakistan.

The negotiating sides discussed exchange of opinion on current developments at both the regional and international levels, in addition to other issues of common interest and affirmed their concern in continuing relations in all aspects, especially the economic and commercial ones with the purpose of strengthening joint cooperation.

They also discussed activation of commercial partnership and encouragement of investments so as to achieve more growth and prosperity to both sides. Meanwhile, Sheikh Khalifa offered the sum of USUS$ 50 million to Pakistan for construction of a modern hospital, as a gesture of the depth of relationship between their countries. Musharraf expressed his gratitude for the donation and UAE's generous contribution in the development of Pakistan. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
