The UAE has reiterated its commitment to support the Palestinians people by ameliorating their suffering and help them attain their national rights, including the right to statehood. The UAE stance vis-à-vis Palestine was renewed in Abu Dhabi yesterday in a meeting between President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the visiting Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayadh.

"The UAE Government and people are concerned by the plight of the Palestinian people, who are reeling under a cruel occupation and blockade", said President Khalifa, following a briefing on the Palestinian situation by Prime Minister Fayadh. For his part, the Palestinian official expressed thanks to the UAE leadership and people for their sustained commitment to help Palestine. "The help that our brothers in the UAE have been providing to the Palestinians over the years has made a huge impact on the livelihoods of the Palestinians people. This is not to mention the political support that we have had for so long, and which has kept our cause alive internationally", said Dr. Fayadh. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
