Khalifa receives Palestinian President

President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reiterated the UAE's support for the Palestinian people for them to achieve their legitimate rights, particularly their right to establish an independent state, on their national soil, with Jerusalem as its capital.



Sheikh Khalifa made the statement when he received in Abu Dhabi yesterday at his palace in Al Bateen, in the present of Deputy prime Minister, Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Palestinian National Authority, Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), who briefed the UAE President about the latest developments and the situation on the Palestinian scene, in the light of the outcome of the Palestinian legislative election and its reflections on the regional and international scenes. The Palestinian President praised the UAE, led by Sheikh Khalifa, for its continuous support for Palestinian people in various areas. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
