Khalifa receives commemorative plaques carrying signatures of diplomats

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received two commemorative tablets inscribed with the signatures of ambassadors accredited to the UAE presented to him as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation of the respective countries the diplomats represented. The mementoes also reflected the distinguished relations grown over the years between UAE and the countries around the world.
The plaques were received by Sheikh Khalifa from Qatari ambassador to UAE and the Head of the diplomatic corps Abdullah Al Othman at a ceremony which was attended by Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and the Rulers of various emirates, the crown princes and deputy rulers, ministers, senior officials Arab and non-Arab ambassadors.
The president asserted that UAE has always been keen to strengthen relations with fraternal and friendly countries within its balanced and moderate foreign policy, which is based on the consistency and commitment to attitudes and principles set by the country's constitution and its interest in the development of human relations with all countries of the world and their peoples. It also stems from the faith to stand by truth and justice in the international forums, an attitude that has earned UAE a prominent place on Arab and international levels.
His Highness said that when the United Arab Emirates the 40th anniversary of the National Day, it renews its commitment to continue to build distinct and consistent external relations with all countries and peoples of the world being an example in the embodiment of wisdom, moderation, balance and commitment to the UN Charter and respect for international conventions.
