Khalifa to leave for Oman on Monday to participate in the GCC summit

President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan will leave for Oman on Monday, leading the UAE delegation to take part in the 29th summit of the Heads of GCC states due to be held in Muscat from 29 to 30 December.



The high-level delegation accompanying the President is composed of Dubai Crown Prince HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Interior Minister Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Finance Affairs HE Obeid Humaid Al Tayer, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs HE Ahmed Juma' Al Za'abi and UAE ambassador to Oman Mohammed Ali Al Aseimi.



The GCC leaders will discuss a number of important issues pertaining to the GCC's joint work in all avenues and the ways to fortify the unified march to achieve this goal. They will review the recommendations made by the ministerial council of the GCC and various committees, and will take appropriate decisions.



The GCC Heads of States will also review the current developments on the political and economic fronts on the Arab and regional levels as well as their repercussions on the region. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
