King of Malaysia receives Abdullah bin Zayed

Kuala Lumpur - King of Malaysia HM Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin received at the presidential palace in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, UAE Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the delegation accompanying him.
Sheikh Abdullah conveyed greetings of President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Malaysian monarch and his best wishes for the welfare and prosperity of the people of Malaysia. He also asserted during the meeting UAE's desire to strengthen relations of cooperation and friendship between the two friendly countries and ways for enhancing the ties in various avenues.
Sheikh Abdullah also briefed the Malaysian King on the efforts of UAE in the field of renewable and clean energy and the establishment of the Masdar City as well as the opening of an institute dedicated to studies in this field.
The King of Malaysia asked Sheikh Abdullah to convey his greetings to President Sheikh Khalifa.
His Majesty stressed the keenness of Malaysia to enhance bilateral relations with the UAE and expressed confidence that the visit of Sheikh Abdullah will contribute to the strengthening of excellent relations between UAE and Malaysia and the further development of cooperation between them.
The Malaysian King stressed his special interest in the field of clean energy and expressed his admiration for what the UAE has achieved in this field.
The meeting was attended by Assistant to Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Khalid Ghanim Al Ghaith, UAE ambassador to Malaysia Nasser Abdullah Salman Al Aboudi, Major General Issa Saif Al Mazrouei from the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces and a number of senior officials. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
