Land reclamation of the World Islands project completed in Dubai

The property developers, Nakheel has completed land reclamation of the World Islands' projects, which was launched five years ago. The cluster of the 300 man-made World islands, which were built in the shape of the world map off the coast of Dubai, were first announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on May 6, 2003. The next phase of the project involves handing over islands to developers for construction and the building of infrastructure.
