Make-or-mar match for UAE

posted on 01/12/2003: 1803 views

Hosts UAE face Panama in a crucial Group A world youth cup encounter at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium tonight. Kickoff is at 8:30 pm. It is a match that no team can afford to lose; as a loss would mean a reduction in their hopes of reaching the second round since both teams have lost their respective openers to Slovakia and Burkina Faso respectively.

Both teams have prepared seriously for tonight's game. Their players trained the next day after their opening game and realise what another loss could mean to their youth world cup hopes. They are thus determined not to lose. (The Gulf News)
