Maktoum bin Mohammed orders telethon to raise funds for Gaza

H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler '&' Chairman of Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority has instructed Dubai Media Incorporated's TV channels to organise a telethon to raise funds for the victims of Israeli aggression in Gaza.

The telethon will be aired as part of a nation-wide relief campaign to raise donations in support of Palestinians in Gaza, launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Red Crescent Authority (RCA) and Head of the Office of Coordination of Foreign Aid.

"All DMI's TV channels will open their telephone lines on Friday to receive donations from the public for the people of Gaza strip," said Ahmed Abdullah Al Sheikh, DMI's Managing Director.

He added that prominent personalities will be invited to the TV studios to support the campaign. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
