The year 2004 will see the completion of many humanitarian and development projects that are currently being implemented by the UAE Red Crescent Society (RCS) in Palestine, an RCS official said yesterday. Some of the vital projects that started in 2003 have indeed been completed early this year, said Sheikh Najeh Bikairat, Deputy Chairman of the Emirates Friends Society, a local civil society body which oversees the implementation of RCS projects in Palestine.

"One of these vital projects is the Dh15 million residential complex for teachers which was opened in January this year. The complex was built on a donation by H.H Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan” said Biairat. He further added that the project for the renovation of the Dome of the Rock mosque will also be completed within this year. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
