Maryam Al Roumi receives Australian Minister

UAE Minister of Social Affairs Maryam Al Roumi received in Abu Dhabi yesterday the visiting New South Wales Minister for Ageing and Disability Services Kristina Keneally. During the meeting Maryam Al Roumi gave the Australian Minister a short description of the forthcoming international conference slated to be held in Abu Dhabi in April next year to discuss the issues related to old age and disability. The conference to be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, the Supreme Chairperson of Family Development Foundation and Chairperson of UAE Women Federation will streamline action plans to ensure the best life for the elder persons.

The two ministers also discussed cooperation between UAE and Australia in social affairs benefiting from experiences of both countries in this area. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
