The Ministry of Health implemented an awareness campaign against H1N1 through text messages in the past few days.
In cooperation with etisalat, the authority sent text messages advising people to avoid greeting others by kissing and nose-touching and to stay away from crowded places as precautionary measures against the disease.
Dr. Ali Bin Sahkar, Director General of the Ministry and Chairman of the National Higher Supervisory Committee to Combat H1N1 said the campaign was part of the ministry's plan to fight the virus.
He said a work team was formed with Etisalat to set up a work mechanism to send more awareness messages on different occasions. – Gulf News
