A delegation from the UAE Ministry of Interior left Abu Dhabi yesterday for Sudan to follow up the file of compensation, rehabilitation and integration of former child camel jockeys.
Led by Major General Nasser Al Awadi Al Minhali, Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalisation and Residency Affairs and Chairman of the Committee in charge of the Compensation File, the delegation will inspect programmes launched by the UAE in five Sudanese cities in coordination with the UNCEF for rehabilitation and integration of those children into their local communities and improvement of the living conditions.
Al Minhali said the UAE has handled this file with a high sense of humanity and backed all projects for protection of those children, and above all honoured all its commitments towards these programmes in association with the UNICEF. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
