Mohammed Bin Rashid views the projects and future initiatives of RTA

UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum paid a visit on Wednesday to the headquarters of Dubai's Road and Transport Authority (RTA).

He was accompanied by Dubai Crown Prince HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and CEO of Emirates airline and Group.

At the RTA headquarters Sheikh Mohammed was briefed by officials on the projects and the future initiatives of the Authority.

During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed switched on the clean energy bus, through the launching of which the RTA aims to encourage public and private sectors to invest in eco-friendly transports.

Chairman of RTA Mattar Al Tayer gave a presentation on the revolutionary bus, which he said is a translation of the Green Economy Initiative of Sheikh Mohammed and comes in response to his call to utilise latest technologies in the transport sector in order to provide a safe and sustainable environment that will uphold the global reputation of the Emirate of Dubai. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
