Mohammed Bin Rashid Charity Establishment allocates Dh 20mn in aid to Gaza

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Establishment (MBRCHE) has allocated Dh 20mn to provide immediate assistance to the Palestinians as more and more people are being displaced in Gaza due to Israeli aggression.

The amount will be spent to provide emergency supplies, especially medicines to save the lives of those who have been badly wounded in the wanton pounding of Gaza by the Israeli army. The intensive care units in the hospitals are struggling with the limited resources due to the increasing number of the casualties.

Part of the allocation will also be used to provide dried milk for children and the elders in Gaza as the food crisis is worsening every day.

Deputy Chairman of MBRCE's board of trustees Ibrahim Bumilha said that the intensive care units at hospitals will be provided with sanitation kits and other necessary equipments to perform urgent surgical operations on the victims of the Israeli attack.

Bumilha said that the situation calls for more assistance and help and the MBRCE has felt that philanthropists and charity associations are showing genuine keenness in extending the hand of help to alleviate the sufferings of Gazans. He called on individuals and institutions irrespective of their nationalities to come forward and help Gaza, which is bleeding in the Israeli aggression.

He said that the situation is so grave than any one can imagine, as Palestinians in Gaza are left without food and shelter as the result of the war. – Emirates News Agency, WAM

'Children of Gaza are our Children': Dubai to observe solidarity day

The General Secretariat of the Executive Council of the emirate of Dubai has announced a solidarity day to express support to the Palestinian children in Gaza, where Israeli army is continuing air, sea and land attacks killing the innocent civilians.

The move is one of the many activities being initiated in UAE in response to the directives of President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to support the Palestinian people.

The solidarity day is part of a broader programme ordered by Dubai Crown Prince HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum to be observed under the title 'Children of Gaza are our children'.

The event will be observed on Wednesday and Thursday in coordination with all various government departments in the emirate of Dubai.

The Secretary General of the Dubai Executive Council Ahmed Bin Bayat said that the solidarity day is a humanitarian initiative which will reflect the feelings of the Emirati society towards the displaced people of Palestine in Gaza.

The Solidarity day will be a message from the government employees in Dubai to the international community requesting them to extend a hand of help to the victims of Israeli war on Gaza, Bin Bayat added.

A number of events including charity drive, lectures and exhibitions have been planned as part of the Solidarity day. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
