Mohammed Foundation reaches out to poor Muslims

The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Charity Foundation is currently undertaking a project of providing Eid clothing and meat in three East Asian countries at a total cost of Dh200,000. According to Abdul Rahman bin Subaih, Chairman of the Foundation's International Relief Committee, the project is part of the Foundation's efforts to reach out to the poor in Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. He said More than 5,000 people would benefit from the 100 sheep to be slaughtered during the Eid Al Adha, while 2,800 will also benefit from the Eid clothing project. He said that a similar project would be implemented in Palestine and in a number of Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan at a total cost of Dh300,000, adding that the move is part of the UAE's effort to alleviate the sufferings of the Palestinian people.
