Mohammed bin Rashid attends Zayed II Military College graduation ceremony

Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, attended Wednesday morning a graduation ceremony held in Al Ain by the Zayed II Military College for its 33rd batch of officer cadet graduates.

The ceremony was also attended by a number of dignitaries, including Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Interior Minister, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Inspector General at the Interior Ministry, Brigadier Dr. Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Justice Minister, Dr. Hadif Jowan Al-Dhahiri, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Obaid Humaid Al-Tayer, Defence Ministry Under Secretary, Lt. General Obaid Mohammed Al-Ka'abi, a number of officials, senior armed forces and police officers, members of the diplomatic corps, military attaches at foreign diplomatic missions and relatives of the graduates.

The ceremony started as Sheikh Mohammad arrived, where he inspected the cadets who stood in attention. The graduating cadets then saluted Sheikh Mohammad at a military parade.

Brigadier Salim Ali Bin Salim Al Ghafli, Commander of the College, thanked Sheikh Mohammad for his patronage and pointed to the connection between the name of the college and the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

He thanked President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for supporting the UAE Armed forces, especially in arming, training and academic and military studies to remain in top shape and be ready to defend the country's sovereignty and it's great accomplishments. Al Ghafli asked the graduates to hold on to their loyalty to Allah, the country, and the President.

At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammad awarded the top graduates: Abdullah Mohammad Saeed Al Hafitti, Ahmad Bin Ali Al Shihi, Ali Rashed Bin Saeded Al Kindi and others.

Sheikh Mohammad congratulated the graduates and lauded their high level of accomplishment projected in their military attendance and training skills. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
