Vice President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has directed to allocate the second batch of Salma emergency food aid, for those affected by crises across the globe, to Gaza.

His Highness directives came after the first aid plane has lately distributed 100,000 meals to the Palestinians subjected to unjust aggression in Gaza.

Earlier, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed has launched project "Salma" to provide preserved meal to people in crisis-hit locations – as a result of wars and natural disasters – swiftly and in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.

Sheikh Mohammed's directives to allocate the second batch of the emergency food aid "Salma" reflects the U.A.E.'s commitment to provide humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians in Gaza. Further, "Salma" program also reflects the U.A.E.'s keenness to help all the needy and distressed people in all part of the world without any discriminations of colour, ethnicity or religion.

The Salma emergency food relief programme is a partnership between the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC), the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) in Dubai and Noor Awqaf - a partnership between Noor and (AMAF) created to support the development of Awqaf all over the world in collaboration with the UN Food Programme with the aim of managing the production of food packages and meals that are high quality and 100 per cent halal. – Emirates News Agency, WAM –
