London - Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was crowned yesterday winner of Prince of Wales's Stakes on the second day of the Royal Scot races.
The Royal Ascot, one of Europe's most famous race meetings, were graced by HM Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, HRH Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, wife of Sheikh Mohammed, and about 150,000 fans and enthusiasts.
Sheikh Mohammad received the trophy from Britain's Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, after Rewilding won the Prince of Wales Stakes on the second day of the Royal Ascot meeting on Wednesday. Rewilding burst into the lead by a neck in about two minutes snatching a cash prize of GBP 400,000.
