Mohammed bin Zayed attends poetry night on the occasion of the UAE National day

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, attended on yesterday evening a poetry reading by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, on the occasion of the UAE 36th National Day anniversary. The poetry recitation evening was also attended by a number of Sheikhs, ministers, senior officials, dignitaries, poets and poetry lovers. Sheikh Hamdan opened the night with a 83 verse-national poem he dedicated to President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, his father H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to Sheikh Mohammed and the people of the UAE. Sheikh Hamdan also praised exploits and feats of the founding fathers of the UAE - the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
