Mohammed bin Zayed meets Arab Finance Ministers

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has met with Arab Ministers of Finance and Economy and Central Banks Governors, who are participating in the annual Arab Financial Authorities Forum.



At the end of the event which was concluded yesterday, Sheikh Mohammed hoped that the results of the meeting will be in support of a joint Arab economic work , improve the investment atmosphere in the Arab world, develop inter- regional trade and expand participation of Arab private sectors.



However, the Ministers and Governors had agreed to hold annual meetings to discuss financial and monetary issues in the Arab region and that the Arab Monetary Fund would be appointed to cater to technical obligations. They have also agreed to allocate 10 percent of the Arab Economic Development Fund for the year 2004, to the benefit of the Palestinian people.
