Mohammed bin Zayed receives Australia's Chief of Defence

H.H General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has received Australia's Chief of the Defence Force Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston who is leading a delegation on a current visit to the UAE.

Welcoming the Australian commander, Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, cherishes friendly relations with Australia and is keenly interested in promoting them in all areas to live up to the aspiration of the peoples of both countries.

The meeting discussed matters of common concern and ways to further relations in all areas, and in the area of defiance in particular. Recent regional developments were also discussed at the meeting.

Houston expressed gladness at meeting H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed and lauded the bilateral relations between the two countries. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
